Who gives a toss? I certainly don’t. It had nothing to do with me… and since you’re probably an additional 6,000 miles from Tehran, I assure you it had even less to do with you.

I’m with Ann Coulter. I just don’t care about other nations.

If a bunch of rustics can defeat the largest empire the world ever knew back in the 1770s and 1780s, no other country in the 21st century needs America’s help to do its own laundry.

Quick question: If you’re for this war all of a sudden, did you vote for Nikki Haley in the primaries? She wanted plenty of war.

Or could it be that you’re using patriotism as a coping mechanism?

I remember thinking like this. It was back when that idiot Dubya was the country’s figurehead while Dick and his friends started a 20-year war that ultimately ended where it started: with the Taliban in charge of Afghanistan.

Of course! The U.S. just wants Iran to give up its nukes!

Except The Donald already told us on June 22, 2025, that the attack on Fordow was successful and that it was time for peace. Surely he was telling the truth. But if he was, why are we back in Iran?

And how much are you paying to send all this blood and treasure to the Middle East, especially when America doesn’t even buy that much oil from Saudi Arabia or any other country in the Gulf?

The Club You Ain’t In

Good Man: May all be well on your side. Funny, but I was about to write in re: my 2 cents on the SOTU. You captured my sentiments rather splendidly. Thank you! Basil, you hit the nail on the head!

Perhaps we’re defining “the U.S.” incorrectly. I don’t know anyone who voted for this in 2024. Not even the Democrats, when voting for Headless Harris, were voting for war. Perhaps “the U.S.” means “The Uniparty?” Well then, sure, all they want is perpetual war. It keeps the woeful military industrial complex in good stead… good enough to finance re-elections.

Except their production sucks. America is about to run out of bullets and missiles before Iran does. 

Allegedly, Iran has rejected multiple invitations to negotiate. You don’t do this when you’re losing. The Iranians think they can weather a high-intensity conflict for 60-90 days, which is why the Iranians don’t want a ceasefire. Yes, you read that correctly.

Two to three months. How do you think the administration’s ratings will be then? And then midterms in another 4 months or so? This is a disaster for Trump.

But it’s his own fault.

I’ll tell you what, Christopher: when Americans refuse to vote for candidates who receive AIPAC funding, I’ll start thinking Americans have courage. Until then, you might want to sit this one out.

The truth is, Trump is Bibi’s golem. In Jewish folklore, a golem is a creature created and controlled by its master to do its bidding. It has no independent will. But he’s not the only one.

After all, if I can “enable” a President from my house in Italy, just imagine what $200 million from Miriam Adelson does. And here’s a complete list of Congress Creatures receiving that AIPAC funding. You know who doesn’t receive money to approve sending American kids into Israel’s wars? Thomas Massie. And, my goodness, AOC.

But… but… but… Iran has been killing Americans since 1979!

Let’s not forget that the Islamic Revolution wouldn’t have happened if the US hadn’t helped the hapless UK unseat the democratically elected Prime Minister Mossadegh in 1953 for nationalizing Iran’s oil. And then replace him with the Shah, whose idiot son is apparently ready to take over again if the US/Israeli side gets its way.

But, hey, the USG wants regime change to install democracy this time. Really.

Oh, and let’s not forget how the U.S. armed Saddam Hussein(!) against Iran in the 80s despite knowing Iraq was using chemical weapons. How many Iranian combat deaths were there in that war? Somewhere between 200,000 and 600,000. What’s a few hundred thousand deaths between friends? Surely Iran would forgive and forget.

Let’s face it: in this case, America is the author of her own destruction. It should be nowhere near Iran. But we can now confidently assert that Trump is owned. When Marco Rubio admits the U.S. bombed Iran because Israel was going first anyway, we can confidently claim The Donald has no control. The Israeli tail wags the American dog.

Europe Loses Again

As always, Europe is the big loser. Imagine cutting off your main energy supplier because some demented, degenerate old man (Biden), whose son was neck-deep in corruption, told you to! But the EU did just that.

Instead of telling Ukraine they were insane, the EU cut off its main energy supplier, Russia, to depend on America. How’s that working out for ya, Europe?

Yesterday, European natural gas prices were up 50%. I’m just glad it’s warming up here already.

Dubai’s image for safety is ruined. Bahrain’s base for the American fleet is severely damaged. The Yemenis (forgot about those guys?) bombed one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest oil fields.

When the Japanese took Singapore during World War II because the British defense screwed up, the Brits lost Singapore as a colony. After all, what’s the use in being a colony when your colonial masters can’t protect you?

History may be a-rhyming here.

China and The City of London

From my friend and colleague, Jim Rickards: “A net winner is Russia, which will benefit from higher oil prices and can now step in as a supplier to China.”

The dumbest strategic mistake in history keeps getting dumber. By pushing Russia into China’s arms, we screwed up.

But I keep reading that by taking Venezuela’s oil and then Iran’s oil, we’re backing China into a corner. If we were, wouldn’t the Chinese have to come out fighting, as the Japanese did in 1941?

They haven’t. Why?

Because they’ll just buy Russian oil.

So we’ve now, actually, made their relationship even stronger.

Asinine.

And Putin is laughing his ass off. Just wait until Europe crawls back to Russia, begging for Nord Stream to be turned back on. The Beluga and champagne will flow like never before.

You still need to vote for Trump at the midterms, or the Dems will reopen the border to 11 million more potential terrorists crossing the Rio Grande. (Remember, the invaders, and yes, they’re invaders, haven’t been Mexicans for a long, long time.) Or they will get another bonehead like Ketanji Brown Jackson on the Supreme Court, God forbid.

Trump’s foreign adventures are a complete disaster. His domestic policies are necessary.

Betcha didn’t see that one coming.

Wrap Up

On days like these, I miss the easy, wistful days of being annoyed about Hunter Biden’s laptop. At least his working girl was over 18.

Iran is a battle America can’t win. Its heart isn’t in it, and rightfully so. This is Israel’s fight. Leave them to it, and keep America’s kids safe.
